Yakuake for Ubuntu Intrepid

So , Few days back i installed Yakuake on my Ubuntu intrepid machine . It’s a drop down shell similar to drop down terminal we all have seen in Quake Series.

yakuake

it can be installed using apt-get install yakuake. If you don’t have KDE minimal environment installed , it might seem a little longer than the usual installation ;).

Once installed , it can be activated using F12 key and once you get used to it , it’s is not only fun but also makes you more productive if you also like to split windows environment like me.

Sometimes Home/End key might not work for scrolling up and down in the konsole. For it to work try changing Input key bindings from Linux Console to XFree4 in current profile settings.
